Former White House Communications Director and Trump supporter, Anthony Scaramucci, criticizes Trump for shrinking Republican party.
On Sunday, the President attacked on Twitter former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci after his appearance on Fox’s “The Next Revolution” with host Steve Hilton.
.@Scaramucci, who just made a fool of himself as he got taken apart by @SteveHiltonx, only lasted 11 days in his favorite of all time Administration, before being fired for, again, making a fool of himself. Anthony is a loser who begged to come back. I said “No Thanks”.— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 10, 2020
Scaramucci, who was once a Trump supporter, took aim at Trump for being “a divider”, stating, “he divides people. He incenses people. He is creating hate in our democracy.”
The former White House Communications Director emphasized his hope for an expansion of the Republican party rather than a shrinkage. “The current demographic base of the Republican Party under President Trump’s control will become a minority party for a generation if we don’t broaden that tent and start including people that don’t look like you and me,” he said.
On Fox, Hilton challenged Scaramucci’s support of the former Vice President, stating,"you go on about racism, you're now supporting a candidate who keeps saying racist things…He literally just said the other day he thinks Black people are all the same." Scaramucci sarcastically replied, "You’re right… the President has never made any gaffe's, he's never said anything stupid."
Shortly after the back and forth between Scaramucci and Hilton, the President tweeted last night, “@Scaramucci, who just made a fool of himself as he got taken apart by @SteveHiltonx, only lasted 11 days in his favorite of all time Administration, before being fired for, again, making a fool of himself. Anthony is a loser who begged to come back. I said ‘No Thanks’.”
The former Communications Director served in the Trump Administration from July 21-July 31 in 2017.
