Trump is making a comeback this week in Orlando, Florida, where he is set to give his first post-presidency political speech at CPAC. The Suffolk University-USA Today survey published on Sunday showed that nearly 46 percent of the respondents would leave the Republican party and join the Trump party. 79.8% believe that Republic senators who voted to convict Trump were motivated by political calculations. 58.90% want Trump to run again in 2024. Could Trump make a comeback in four years?
Over the weekend, the BBC documentary “Trump Takes On the World” revealed that Trump offered Kim Jong-un a lift home on Air Force One. Kim declined.
Across the pond, PM Boris Johnson will present his road map today to gradually ease out COVID restrictions in Great Britain.
"Today I’ll be setting out a roadmap to bring us out of lockdown cautiously. Our priority has always been getting children back into school which we know is crucial for their education and wellbeing. We'll also be prioritising ways for people to reunite with loved ones safely," said Johnson.
After Australia, the UK is signaling to be the next country to demand from Facebook to pay for journalism. “I have very strong views on this,” Matt Hancock stated on Times radio. “I think this is a very important matter, and I’ve got no doubt the culture secretary will be looking at it very closely,” he added. What is America waiting for?
What will Biden do today? At 12:05 PM EST, President Biden will make an announcement related to small businesses. President is interested in offering forgivable loans to small businesses through paycheck protection programs (PPP). At 6:00 EST PM, Biden will deliver remarks on the lives lost to COVID-19. His speech will be followed by a candle-lighting ceremony. The First Lady, the Vice President, and the Second Gentleman will be in attendance.
Heads up: On Tuesday, President Biden will engage in a virtual discussion with essential workers. Then, he will hold his first virtual bilateral meeting with PM Justin Trudeau of Canada where the two leaders are expected to talk on a range of bilateral and global issues.
On Wednesday, President Biden will sign an Executive Order on the economy. On the same day, Biden and Harris will be briefed on public health updates by the COVID-19 response team.
On Thursday, President Biden will take part in an event on the state of vaccinations. He will also give a speech to the National Governors Association Winter Meeting.
Press secretary JEN PSAKI will hold a press briefing today at 12:30 PM EST.
Dr. Fauci will brief the press at 3 PM EST. Last night, he told CNN that American people could be wearing masks way into 2022.
