#GoodMorningDC. Here’s the news you are waking up to this Friday morning, April 16, 2021.

Good Morning DC! What are your plans for the weekend? Today, a new episode of Mooch FM drops, so make sure you add it to your you must hear this podcast list.

Last night, another deadly shooting happened in America. Eight people got shot in the FedEx facility in Indianapolis, according to AP.

A witness said that he was working inside the building when he heard several gunshots in rapid succession.

“I see a man come out with a rifle in his hand, and he starts firing, and he starts yellin’ stuff that I could not understand,” Levi Miller told WTHR-TV. “What I ended up doing was ducking down to make sure he did not see me because I thought he would see me and he would shoot me.”

Question: How many more people need to die for the country to come together and agree to move forward with gun control?

The House Judiciary Committee passed the tech antitrust report. “Amazon, Apple, Google, and Facebook each hold monopoly power over significant sectors of our economy. This monopoly moment must end,” House Antitrust Subcommittee Chairman David Cicilline said in a statement.

He added,” I’m grateful to my colleagues on both sides of the aisle who worked with me over the past two years to compile this Report, which makes clear that Congress and the antitrust enforcement agencies must step up to restore a competitive marketplace, enhance innovation, and protect our democracy. Now that the Judiciary Committee has formally adopted our findings, I look forward to crafting legislation that addresses the significant concerns we have raised.”

Across the pond, the weekend will be marked by Prince Phillip’s funeral. Only 30 mourners will be allowed to attend due to covid protocols. If you are interested in who’s going to be at the funeral, here’s the list
