It's Friday, and the snow emergency has ended in Washington DC. If only everyone could jet off like Senator Ted Cruz to Cancun to lounge at the pool, but it's pandemic, and unemployment checks do not stretch to the Ritz.
Biden's Iran policy announcement is already causing mixed reactions in Washington DC.
House Foreign Affairs Committee Lead Republican Michael McCaul shared his concern that the Biden Administration "is already making concessions in an apparent attempt to re-enter the flawed Iran deal." McCaul does not want Iran to re-enter the deal unless it fully complies with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
Jake Sullivan spoke by phone with Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz about the Western Balkans and China and the protection of religious freedom worldwide.
Susan Rice held a virtual discussion with advocates for gun violence prevention. Participants shared their perspectives on policymaking around gun violence and ideas about how to create community-based violence interventions that work.

There, he will discuss the COVID-19 pandemic and plans to rebuild the global economy.
Biden will call on G7 members to "prioritize a sustainable health security financing mechanism" to end this pandemic and prevent any future one.
At 11:15 AM EST, Biden will participate in the Munich Security Conference, where he will discuss the importance of our transatlantic ties.
At 12:15 PM EST, the President will travel to Kalamazoo, Michigan, where he will tour a Pfizer manufacturing site in Kalamazoo, Michigan. At 5:40 PM EST, Biden will be back at the White House.
The White House COVID-19 response team will brief the press at 11:45 AM EST.
Across the pond, Buckingham Palace has announced that Harry and Meghan will not be returning as working members of the Royal Family.
