Here’s who to expect to listen to during the “Uniting America” event at Democratic National Convention next week.

Today, the Democratic National Convention announced their musical performances, following the theme “Uniting America”.

The performing artists will “bring talents to the biggest stage in convention history, uniting behind Joe Biden’s vision for a better America for all”.

The artist list includes Leon Bridges, The Chicks, Common, Billie Eilish, Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, Billy Porter, Maggie Rogers, Prince Royce, and Stephen Stills.

Notably, all of the artists range in music style, audience, and demographic, following suit with the convention’s theme. All music acts will occur within the four nights of the event, August 17th-August 20th.

Stephanie Cutter, 2020 Democratic National Convention Program Executive, spoke about the exciting lineup, stating, “In just three days, we will kick off a Democratic National Convention that will look and feel very different than past conventions. It will truly be a convention across America, and these incredible artists will help us tell the story of where we are as a country today under Donald Trump’s failed leadership, and the promise of what we can and should be with Joe Biden as president.”

Cutter went on to applaud the artists, noting their commitment to increasing voter registration and turn out for the 2020 election.

Uniquely, the convention’s partner Commonwealth Youthchoirs will feature a 57-person choir made up of young singers “from all walks of life”, with each member representing one of the 57 states and territories. They will perform remotely from across the United States.
